Welcome to Upsilon-Xi-at-Large Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International

Sigma Theta Tau International is the largest individual member nursing association in the world. Members of STTI International are a global community of nurses who lead in using scholarship, knowledge, and technology to improve the health of the world’s people.

Our mission is to provide leadership and scholarship in nursing practice, education and research, to enhance the health of all people. We support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of our members, who strive to improve nursing care worldwide.

Sigma Theta Tau International is an Honour Society – a concept well recognised in other disciplines and other countries, but not much used in the UK. An Honour Society is a group that recognises colleagues’ academic and/or professional achievements. Joining an Honour Society signifies your commitment to excellence in your chosen profession and acknowledges your academic or professional achievements.

Upsilon-Xi-At-Large Chapter is the Welsh Chapter of STTI; the first charted chapter in the UK – but you do not have to live or work in Wales to be a member. We have members from all over the UK as well as from other countries.

Through these web-pages we welcome you to STTI and to our Chapter. Most of our website is open to all comers, and there are links on all pages to the Sigma  Theta Tau International website at www.nursingsociety.org
